After three delayed matches we finally started the new season on this Saturday. We kicked off our third season against the newly promoted Istenhegy FC.

The first half was relatively quiet, however both teams missed a big opportunity. We took the lead quickly after the break though. Zoltán Bagoly on his first competitive game for Erőd FC lobbed a long and high ball behind the opponent’s defensive line. Richárd Turcsán fought for the ball and once he arrived to the box slotted it home breaking the deadlock after 2 minutes into this half. Since we had the upper hand on the game we let the opposition to charge forward to punish them with counters. We had multiple good chances but the goalkeeper saved Dániel Sebők’s header as well as the other debutant, Rajmund Pifku’s close range effort. The final minutes were nervewrecking because of this, but we managed to keep a clean sheet and won the first game of the season.

It was a difficult match as we had two substitions in 24 minutes due to injuries but the teamwork and fighting spirit helped us through. We thank Istenhegy FC for the match and wish them good luck in the championhsip.

Goal: Turcsán
Assist: Bagoly
