We played against 33 FC on thursday, because the game was postponed from the first round. Our opponent got relegated from BLSZ II last season, but started this year’s campaign with three back to back victories, so we expected a tough night.
Erőd FC started well, the defensive lines worked very well and the counter attacks showed a lot of potentials. Although we had clear cut chances we could not capitalize on them, however Gergely Földesi broke the deadlock with a header. A very unfortunate bounce helped 33 FC to get into the box and regardless of multiple player’s effort, to clear the ball from danger, Domonkos Murányi manages to equalize from close range. We still had the lead at half time though, because András Szabados headed the ball to the back of the net after a corner which was his first goal ever for the club.
Erőd FC stood still in the second half for a while, but Murányi received a great ball just barely onside and scored. The same scene was seen just three minutes later, the only difference was the goal scorer. We fought hard to equalize and had opportunities to do so, but missed our chances. We lost, but we can hold our heads high after that performance.
Ultimately 33 FC won because they were more efficient in fron of the goal. We thank 33 FC for the match and wish them good luck in the championhsip.
Goals: Földesi, Szabados
