After a horrible defeat on Sunday we had little time to lick our wounds since the next game was just three days later. It was a postponed match from the second round and against Margitszigeti FC, a team we lost twice to in the previous season.
The home team attacked us very intensely from the first minutes but they could only shoot from a distance. We did not have many chances either but had some nice build-ups that looked promising. Margitszigeti FC took the lead after our defence could not deal with a rebound and the referee awarded a free-kick. The ball whistled past the wall and ended in the bottom left corner.
We slowly took initiative in the second half and a corner kick found Jonah Mundu who flicked it towards the farther post and Gergely Földesi headed it into the net. This goal encouraged our team to push on and Dániel Pulai’s nice lobbed pass put Balázs Kerényi in a 1v1 situation and the striker scored with a composed finish. A few minutes later Kerényi won a penalty and scored from the spot as well, creating the final result.
We thank Margitszigeti FC for the match and wish them good luck in the championhsip.
Goals: Földesi, Kerényi (2x)
